About Aaron Toogood
Aaron Toogood is a Senior Lecturer at De Montfort University who specialises primarily in topics that relate to finance in Leicester Business School, and the department is Accounting & Finance. He is originally from New Zealand, but moved to UK 12 years ago. Aaron completed both his undergraduate (BSc) and Masters (MSc-Tech) studies at Waikato University in New Zealand from 1997 to 1999. In 2002, he also completed Graduate Diploma in Finance at same university. The main programmes and subjects Aaron teaches include: Finance, Finance Derivatives & Finance Theory.
Aaron’s research interests include corporate dividend pay-out behaviour and pedagogical theory.
Other Academic Professional Qualifications
ACMA/CIMA in 2007 & PGCertHE at De Montfort University in 2010. And the FHEA academic profession in 2012.
Alongside Aaron’s research
Aaron has created two projects for DMU Square Mile – Play Dough and Mathletics that teach primary school children mathematics skills in innovative ways.
Aaron was honoured and awarded in 2012/2013 an Oscar awarded, which was related to his commitment to Public Good, and in 2011/12. He also received a VC distinguished Teaching Award.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his growing family, cooking too much and running, but not quite enough, he says!
